Good morning, everyone!
This holiday brings two things to our minds - colorful candy and Christ - does it not? Where do you fit in with this celebration?
Is it a happy day for you or a day like any other day of the week? Is it one of gladness or of gloom? Is the world situation striking fear in your heart or do you have peace because you know who holds the future?
I Corinthians 15, verses 3 and 4 say: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures...
This is what today is all about. A life in Christ - amid the sorrows that surround us. A life in Christ - that brings joy to our hearts in days of pain. A life in Christ - having a God who is all-knowing, all-powerful, all-seeing, all-caring. Because HE was the one who died, was buried, and rose again - to bring us newness of life to all who believe.
He's the one to whom you can bring your burdens. The one who brings salvation to those who turn from their wicked ways and receive forgiveness of sins. The only One who can bring peace to your life and to the world.
Though crises may crush us, daily difficulties abound, a tumultuous world that creates heavy hearts broken from the burdens we carry among the slivers of sunlight in our life - may you know the love of Christ and have His peace and eternal security.
If there are any readers who do not have this hope - this peace in their heart - I urge you to contact me (linda@ladyelsielee.com) so we can chat in length about your spiritual needs.
May you have a joyous Resurrection Day as you worship Christ the Lord!
