A good Sunday morning to you!
Before I comment on the scripture verses below, I want to mention that one of my latest DIY sewing projects will be posted in the coming week. I’m excited to show off projects I’ve never attempted before. Keep watch for some inspirational stitching!
Looking at the photo above, does God’s creation bring about a serene state of mind? It does for me. Ultimately, it is the LORD himself that brings peace to chaos.
One of my favorite psalms is Psalm 37. A few years ago I memorized the first few verses. They are a comfort to me when my mind is troubled with the pressures of life or when fear overwhelms my soul.
No matter what a person is going through – lack of employment, issues with health, family relationships that turn sour, a desire for a nicer home or living conditions – these can all be put on the altar of prayer. For God sees everything. He hears everything. He knows everything – including the fear we may have about the current world situation.
Read the verses below and see how the LORD can bring peace to your heart. How He can bring your godly desires to fruition. We only need to trust in Him. To live our life according to His ways. When we live out our faith in God, He will work out the details of our life. Yes, fear is there – no doubt about it. Rest in the LORD, because He is King of kings and Lord of lords. In the end, it is He who will be triumphant.
Psalm 37:1-9
1 Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers.
2 For they will wither quickly like the grass And fade like the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.
8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.
9 For evildoers will be cut off, But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land.
Open up your Bible to read the rest of the psalm. It will encourage your heart.
Have a great day!
